Prior to Oracle, Barbara worked at Sun Microsystems were she focused on creating innovative strategic programs and partnerships that required strategy creation, talent resourcing, development planning, and technology integration. She also managed the compliance responsibilities for over $1.8 Billion dollars in government contracts. She has received numerous awards, including Women of the Year, Most Powerful Women of the Bay, Women Leading the Way and as a Technology All Star at the Women of Color STEM Conference.

She has more than twenty years of experience in the technology field; mastering a variety of roles including Consultant, Developer, Manager and Technical Trainer. Her career reflects the evolution of computing technology. She has worked in mainframe, personal computing, client-server and cloud computing environments. Leah holds a bachelors degree in computer science and a masters degree in technology education. She uses her knowledge and experience to demystify and make technology more accessible to youth, girls, and communities of color through organizations such as LIFE Course, Girls Who Code and BlackGirls Code.

On the Global Diversity & Inclusion Team at Google, Sarah provides leadership for the design and development of key workforce diversity and inclusion initiatives. Sarah currently manages a team focused on leveraging data to drive diversity strategies, engaging Googlers in diversity and inclusion initiatives, and managing company-wide diversity goals. She serves on the Human Rights Campaign’s Diversity & Inclusion Council and has spoken at numerous conference and events, including the Out & Equal Workplace Summit and the Creating Change Conference. Sarah joined Google in in July of 2007 on the University Programs Team, focused on MBA outreach and recruiting, and moved to the Diversity Team in February 2009.
Prior to joining Google in July of 2007, Sarah worked as a Marketing Specialist for MBA Admissions at Harvard Business School. Cedric Brown is the Managing Partner of the Kapor Center for Social Impact, overseeing programs and philanthropic partnerships as well as day-to-day operations. He has over 20 years of experience as an educator and funder, steering over $60 million in grants to community efforts. In his current role, he works to devise and implement strategies to ensure that Oakland builds the most diverse tech community in the nation while retaining its energetic pluralism and character. His recent projects include creating or advising Live WorkOakland’s tech ecosystem database, Brothers Code, #YesWeCode, 2.Oakland, and Vator Splash Oakland. Cedric was recognized as a Champion for Change by Startup Weekend Oakland – Black Male Achievement and was profiled as a San Francisco Chronicle Changemaker. Samantha O’Keefe, leads TechCrunch Include and the Startup Battlefield. In her role, Sam supports social enterprises selected to participate in Include,TechCrunch’s recently launched diversity partnership program. As part of the Startup Battlefield, she scouts, selects and coaches early stage companies to launch at TechCrunch Disrupt. Previously, Sam led business development for MicroEval, a Y-Combinator company. In her former life, she conducted off-grid water quality and policy research, working in India, Ghana and France. Sam holds a BS and dual MS degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she is also a member of the Board of Trustees.
