Offical press release on PRWeb:BUILDUP Partners with Leading Tech Companies to Help Solve Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace BUILDUP,…
When the BUILDUP team (Kristina Omari, Christian Anderson and myself) set out a year ago to form BUILDUP we initially set a goal of raising a fund, launching an accelerator and angel investment group for underrepresented groups in tech. To start with brand awareness and community outreach we started hosting fireside chats with investors and tech panels called BUILDUP Events.
While studying the tech landscape, various business models, getting feedback from our advisors and partners we decided to form a non-profit. Additionally BUILDUP identified the need for a pre-accelerator model for underrepresented groups to provide access, education and capital.
Today we’re pleased to announce that BUILDUP is now non-profit organization with tax-exempt status under section based 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
